The Valencia CF attacker spoke to the media in a press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna
As part of Valencia CF's commitment to fighting against COVID-19, the club paid tribute to health workers and front-line workers on Wednesday during the Trofeo Naranja game against AC Milan.
Representatives of the hospitals in Valencia were invited to Mestalla: Dr. Álvaro Bonet Plá, head of the Hospital Clínico Universitario; Dr. Francisco Dolz Sinisterra, head of the Hospital Universitario Doctor Peset; Dr. Manuel Ballester Nogués, Medical Director of the Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe; Dr. Inmaculada Renart López, head of the Hospital General Universitario; Dr. Mª Jesús Arilla Morell, head of the Hospital Arnau de Vilanova; and Lydia Gil Gonzalez, Nursing Director of IMED Valencia.
Valencia CF wanted to recognise their work by giving them the stage in the match, and they posed for a photo with the players ahead of kickoff.
The tribute was well received by the health workers, who highlighted the responsibility and support shown by Valencia CF.
Francisco Dolz, head of the Dr. Peset Hospital, stated that "this is an important opportunity because it makes it clear that the health workers have done an important job. We thank the club for this gesture."
